Air France maintenance hangar, Roissy-CDG

AIR FRANCE commissioned SNC-Lavalin to conduct studies into the construction of a maintenance base for Airbus A380 aircraft at Roissy-CDG. As prime contractor of technical equipment, the company was responsible for ensuring scheduled establishment compliance and providing as follows: light and heavy current (400 Hz) installations, HVAC, fluid work, fire safety and protection, lift devices, structural (ex bays) and external works.

Hungexpo: Retrofitting and expansion of exhibition complex, Budapest

GL Events, world leader in the organisation of exhibitions and events, sought to update Hungary's largest exhibition complex. As prime contractor, SNC-Lavalin enjoyed involvement in a number of project phases: dismantling of existing structures, technical retrofitting of existing exhibition halls, construction of new buildings.

Monte Carlo Bay

SNC-Lavalin was commissioned to manage the works packages relating to the development of a hotel complex on the man-made Larvotto peninsula in Monaco. This investment, valued at €150 million, involved the construction of a 9000 m² building set on bearing piles driven down 24 metres below sea level to the natural sea floor. The high-rise structure, with 12 above- and 4 below-ground levels, features 350 rooms, a hotel residence, a casino, restaurant and kitchen installations, a fitness facility, a business centre, an indoor pool, two outdoor pools-including a 1000 m² lagoon with natural sand bottom, and vehicle car parks.

Bourgoin-Jailleu Hospital

Construction of a new medical centre in compliance with French hospital building lease procedures (BEH). Pierre Oudot Medical Centre commissioned SNC-Lavalin to manage fluid work and coordinate fire protection
systems to be incorporated into the new hospital facility at Bourgoin-Jallieu.

IKEA furniture and interior decoration, Rennes

SNC-Lavalin was commissioned to manage the construction of the new IKEA outlet at Rennes. Commensurate with IKEA standards, the new facility features exhibition and restaurant space on the upper floor, and marketplace and self-serve merchandise pick up on the ground floor. Over the years, IKEA Group has awarded SNC-Lavalin a number of project management contracts for outlets at Saint Herblain (44), Les Lisses (91), Henin Beaumont (62), Évry (91), Rouen (76) and Reims (51).

Le Progrès office complex

SNC-Lavalin assumed full project management responsibilities on behalf of Cardinal Group with respect to an office building designed to house the offices of Le Progrès newspaper and Télé Lyon Métropole. To satisfy client demands in terms of High Environmental Quality (HEQ) building standards, company teams selected a concrete design replete with exterior insulation and sun baffles which lend the building excellent thermal inertia and greatly reduce energy consumption. Other HEQ features include environment-friendly finishing materials, a natural lighting concept, and a rainwater recovery system designed to feed a neighbouring pond.

Airbus Work Package Centre (WPC) at St Nazaire SNC-Lavalin has been commissioned by Airbus France to construct a logistics facility with a view to streamlining the management of aircraft section work packages (WPs) received onsite at Gron or ready for onward shipment to other installations via the Airbus BELUGA fleet.

SNC-Lavalin oversaw the building of the new Cesbron Group head office, a positive energy facility built in compliance with CERTIVEA criteria. Installations include a meeting room housed in an aluminum-clad half‑egg structure set atop a water feature.
