Toulouse University Medical Centre

SNC-Lavalin was commissioned to build a specialised cancer facility at Toulouse, with responsibility extending to the following: management of fluid work (heating/ventilation, light duty electrical installations, sanitary and medical gas installations, pneumatic feed, lift devices, tiled work surfaces commensurate with biomedical standards and requirements, external works, kitchen equipment); management of structural work; coordination of fire safety systems; and, planning.

Saint-Dizier Hospital Centre awarded SNC-Lavalin a project management contract relating to works packages, structural work and medical equipment within the framework of the construction of a new 320-bed hospital to be named in honour of Geneviève De Gaulle-Anthonioz.

In the medium term, the facility will form the medical/technical core of a regional triangle which includes installations at Saint-Dizier, Bar-le-Duc and Vitry-le-François.

Exemplary from the HQE standpoint, the complex merited a Hôpital Expo Intermedica award which recognises health sector initiatives by industry stakeholders and suppliers for contributions made with a view to enhancing both patient care and the quality of services rendered.

Raizet Gerontology Centre

Raizet Gerontology Centre (CHG) in Guadeloupe awarded SNC-Lavalin with a project management contract relating to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary facilities and equipment as part of the rebuilding and relocation of this gerontology hospital.

Upon completion, the 30 800 m² complex will comprise a 209-bed retirement facility, an 88‑bed/ three-unit long term Alzheimer wing, a 40-bed care unit for patients undergoing rehabilitation treatment, a 12-person day centre for individuals suffering from Alzheimer disease, and an in‑home care service.

In selecting efficient HQE components, the hospital centre will be able to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by an impressive 46.5%.
