SNC-Lavalin was commissioned to assist with project management in relation to a new automobile production plant. For the purposes of this project, the company assembled a team of individuals responsible for organisation, cost control and construction scheduling. The complex, some 280 000 m² in area, included buildings for vehicle stamping, fitting, painting and assembly, as well as various dedicated areas. The operation, completed in 30 months, required a full 18 months for the construction portion of the contract. The plant currently employs 3500 persons, manufactures 300 000 vehicles a year and boasts Phase 1 production capacity of 55 vehicles per hour. This figure is expected to rise to 87 vehicles per hour in the final phase.

SNC-Lavalin was commissioned to assist with project management within the framework of the restructuring and expansion of production capacity of the BPB Placoplâtre gypsum plasterboard plant at Vaujours. SNC-Lavalin provided general project management services throughout all successive phases of development (initial studies, procurement, building, commissioning and delivery). Company involvement extended to all property and process aspects of this industrial project valued at in excess of €150 million.

AIR FRANCE commissioned SNC-Lavalin to conduct studies into the construction of a maintenance base for Airbus A380 aircraft at Roissy-CDG. As prime contractor of technical equipment, the company was responsible for ensuring scheduled establishment compliance and providing as follows: light and heavy current (400 Hz) installations, HVAC, fluid work, fire safety and protection, lift devices, structural (ex bays) and external works.

Airbus Work Package Centre (WPC) at St Nazaire SNC-Lavalin has been commissioned by Airbus France to construct a logistics facility with a view to streamlining the management of aircraft section work packages (WPs) received onsite at Gron or ready for onward shipment to other installations via the Airbus BELUGA fleet.

Cargolux commissioned SNC-Lavalin with the construction of a dedicated facility for the aeronautical maintenance of wide-body cargo aircraft such as the Boeing 747‑400 and Airbus A380.

Workshops and administrative offices adjoin the main hangar facility. The complex includes a power station, company cafeteria, two-level covered vehicle park and all vehicle access roads to the facility.

The installation is located on an 80 000 m2 plot of land adjacent to the runways at Luxembourg Airport.

Plataforma Logística de Zaragoza (Plaza) awarded SNC-Lavalin technical oversight of work on the Saragossa logistics facility. Plaza is a company primarily dedicated to the promotion and development of the Saragossa complex.

With 13 million m2 of floor space, the installation is considered the largest logistics complex in Europe.

Spirit AeroSystems awarded SNC-Lavalin a turnkey contract providing for the construction of the company's new 5378 m² plant located at Montoir-de-Bretagne in the Nantes/Saint‑Nazaire aeronautical development pole. The plant has been designed for the assembly of the central fuselage section of the Airbus A350 XWB (Xtra Wide Body). A portion of the latter section will be produced at a US sister plant in Kinston, North Carolina.

The US-based manufacturer selected Saint-Nazaire in an attempt to streamline logistics while taking advantage of proximity to client Airbus.
