The Brando Hotel Complex
Forty-seven luxury villas, part of The Brando Hotel complex—an investment pegged at €80 million—is set to open in late 2011 on Tetiaora Atoll. According to Tahiti Beachcomber Company, project initiator, the hotel complex will be the ‘most eco-advanced in the world’. It will feature an avant-garde renewable energy technique, including a water-fed air conditioning system which uses seawater pumped up from the depths of the ocean.
The teams at SNC-Lavalin have been mandated by CREOCEAN to develop, manage and monitor this innovative new deep-water air conditioning system. SNC-Lavalin involvement in the project ranged from feasibility and engineering studies to marine project management, economic analyses and regulatory studies.
